USA Orthopedic Technologist, Beverly Treasure has made an appeal to the Jamaican Public for assistance in getting a shipment of orthopedic equipment and supplies into the island to ease a noticeable shortage in public hospitals. Miss Treasure noted that orthopedic health care is currently being hampered and is not being delivered efficiently because of a lack of the necessary supplies, when they could be had from Health Care International free of cost.
