Go-Local Jamaica: A Thought Changing Rafting Experience.
RaftingI was always skeptical about river rafting. If the raft was to fall apart, one man could not save two persons and besides, there's no life vest on board. My thought on this was about to change.

One beautiful Saturday afternoon, I went with two friends to Snow Hill, Portland on a business trip. While crossing the Rio Grande bridge a gang of men swarmed the van shouting, ' Rafting? Rafting?' I drove past but I was curious about the cost. For more on this personal review. http://www.golocaljamaica.com/readarticle.php?ArticleID=550
Go-Jamaica To Host The Forgiveness Campaign

Go-Jamaica will host a Online Chat with the Mead-Haven Ministers' Fraternal on Wednesday, April 9, 2003 at 6:00 p.m.

The Mead-Haven Ministers' Fraternal launched the national FORGIVENESS CAMPAIGN on March 4, 2003 as part of its contribution to the National Values & Attitudes Programme.
The campaign comes as a direct response to the findings of the National Survey on the Motive for Murders 2002. The survey indicates that reprisals accounted for 32% of murders in 2002 while domestic violence accounted for an additional 27%.

The Fraternal is of the view that over time, the campaign on Forgiveness could have a positive impact on the nation. This would result in less violence arising out of reprisals and revenge killings. To participate in this very important discussion with Rev. Devon Dick, pastor of the Boulevard Baptist Church and his team, log on to http://www.go-jamaica.com/chat/

Go-Jamaica Music, Debates & Discussions 24/7.
Power 106 FmFor the very best in online discussions with 'Mutty' Perkins, Laing & Co, Nationwide and Dear Pastor, Rev. Aaron Dumas you need to listen to Power 106FM. Throughout the week it has the most thought provoking as well as witty commentaries on the Island. Look out for Dr. Vendryes who joins the line up this week Friday. He is probably Jamaica's most famous alternative medicine practitioner.

Talk is of course of the primary focus during the week but on the weekends you can hear some of the best Jamaican music ever made. Trust me. http://www.go-jamaica.com/power/index.html

Youthlink: Yallahs Youth Hold Forum on Governance
Scores of young people from the Yallahs community and surrounding districts attended a forum on governance recently at the Yallahs Primary School in St. Thomas.

The forum was organised by the Yallahs Youth Committee (YYC) in collaboration with the Social Development Commission under the theme, "To Lead or to be Lead? You Answer the Question." Its main objective was to educate the youth about Jamaica's system of government and its accessibility to the people.

Live from New York, It's Paul Shaw.

Discover the artistry of Jamaican pianist Paul Shaw just as Vladimir Horowitz did on New York classical music radio. Digitally remastered from the WNCN broadcast tapes of Shaw's New York recital debut, this live recording captures the electricity and the spontaneity of that highly acclaimed event in brilliant readings of pieces by Bach, Schumann and Rachmaninoff.

Also included is a world-premiere performance of an eclectic, expressive work with a distinct jazz element by Filipino composer Alexander Lim. For more on this amazing Jamaican talent click here http://www.discoverjamaica.com/shop/paulshaw/
