In an interview on the pool deck of her Lady Musgrave apartment, Carlene confessed she still wants to pursue this dream. She wants to do "facials" on the deceased to make them look the way they were, while alive. "Not because they are dead doesn't mean they have to look that way," she said. of girlfriends recently about our growing up years,
when a particularly disturbing topic arose.
We all came to the conclusion that the same men who had seen us as babies' years ago were now among the men who are today making advances at us. Awarded the National Order of Distinction for his contribution to Jamaican theatre and music, he is the former head of the drama department of the Jamaica Broadcasting Corporation, and remains one of the most distinguished actors and broadcasters in Jamaica. He will be Go-Jamaica's guest on Thursday 29 May at 6pm (EST).
He got his first film role in A High Wind in Jamaica, which starred Anthony Quinn and James Coburn. His feature credits include, Cross Plot with Roger Moore, Love Thy Neighbor and the Disney blockbuster Cool Runnings. During a 14-year residence in Great Britain, Mr. Hyatt's television credits included Crown Court, Six Bites of the Cherry. Mr. Hyatt's credits on the Jamaican stage include Trevor Rhone's Old Story Time and Two Can Play, Patrick Brown's Dirty Diana, Basil Dawkins' Forbidden and several national pantomimes. The author of the story collection When Me Was a Boy, Mr. Hyatt continues to perform on stage in addition to hosting the radio program "It's Charlie's Time" on KLAS 89 FM. This week Mr. Hyatt launched 'The Perils of Charlie' a CD that contains storytelling, autobiographical information given through interviews and other Hyatt performances produced by Stage Records. It is available in stores.

He is this months www.jamaica-star.com artiste of the month. This popular deejay hit centre stage in 1992 when his song 'Flex' reached number 1 on the Billboard Rap charts. In fact he's only the second ever reggae artist to achieve that feat in over thirty years of trying. Not bad for a 26 year old who named himself after a character in the GI Joe comic books!
In 2002, he was featured on the Black Shadow Records "buzz" rhythm, where his "Press Trigger" became a huge smash in the dancehalls. He later followed up with "Haunted" for Black Shadow's 2003 rhythm "Surprise". "Haunted" also made a huge impact on the reggae charts in New York and Miami.

For some 30 years early Spanish colonists settled in or near to St. Ann's Bay until they realized that these locations were plagued by swamps. They looked south to a town on a wide fertile plain, a town they named Villa de la Vega (Town of the Plain). Now known as Spanish Town, it was founded in 1534 and became the capital in 1538.
