Go-Local Jamaica.com - Conquest: the Indomitable Blue Mountain Peak.

Conquest: the Indomitable Blue Mountain Peak.I found myself staring at the mountain in the failing light of dusk, thinking about how I had got myself into this situation. Why had I agreed to climb the highest mountain in Jamaica when I could be lying comfortably in my bed in Kingston, without a care in the world? I looked at the faces of my companions; I could tell that both were thinking the same as me. They had a despairing look, almost of panic as they surveyed the task ahead of us. We had all been expecting it to be a walk in the park, as those who had done it before had told us it would be. I realised that we had been lied to.
