Jamaica-Star.com: It Started With A Smile.

It started with a smile and five shillings, but
no one knew, not even their parents, that  Lucienda
and Clifford Blackstock's relationship would span
four decades of love and devotion.
The couple, both originally from Rock District
in Mocco, Clarendon, now live in Palmer's Cross,
Clarendon. They told THE STAR that while they
knew each other from in the community, it was
on a sunny June afternoon along a lane in their

has always been the main focus when one begins
to consider good health. Now everyone is familiar
with getting up early in the morning to go jogging,
walking on treadmill or afternoons at the gym.
One woman anxious to offer something different
has started another form of exercise for those
interested - Splash Aqua-Aerobic Fitness Club.
Former officer of the Jamaican Defence Force,
Tessa Lewin served for eight years with the force
and attained the rank of captain. With her love
for physical fitness and the urge to make exercise
much easier Tessa started an aqua-aerobic programme.

archives dating back to 1834 on the World Wide Web.
By simply logging on to Gleaner.newspaperarchive.com,
a visitor to the site will be able to enter a
search term and within seconds, receive a listing
of Gleaner publications over 171 years.
If a person registers, for a fee, the actual
printed page will be displayed and made available

at the nation's archives in Spanish Town, reveals that
the property was patented in 1963 by John Breeding who
was one of the early settlers to the island of Jamaica.

In 1784, Williams Bligh of "Bounty" Fame
Acting as Captain of the ship Lynx carried sugar from
Prospect Estate to England. Captain Bligh gained notoriety
as a result of the famous Mutiny of the Bounty. This
expedition to the South Seas involved the transportation
of hundred of breadfruit trees and other and other exotics
from the island of Tahiti to Jamaica.
