Interesting Bits : Singing a Different Tune

Beenie Man & D'angelLast week a Jamaica Star article, by Tieno Evans, produced the quote of the week.

"Moses 'Beenie Man' Davis, the man who once sang "man fi ave nuf gal an gal inna bungle" and "one gal can't satisfy me" was singing a different tune at his nuptials with Michelle 'D'Angel' Downer, now Mrs. Davis, yesterday." Read more at http://www.jamaica-star.com/thestar/20060823/ent/ent1.html.  It is indeed true, love can certainly produce new melodies and more. We now await the album.

Other interesting articles on Beenie Man's and D'Angel's Wedding can be found at

Correction: The author of the article entitled, ''Winning the big blue at Denbigh', was incorrectly stated in last week's newsletter. The author is Robert Lalah.

Hospitality Jamaica : Indian Interest

Indian PartnershipIt seems a high level of interest has been generated in India resulting from the Jamaica Tourist Board's (JTB's) recent decision to appoint TRAC Representations as its marketing representative to India.

One positive result so far is that a South Asia media company is currently in discussion with the JTB and Jamaica Promotions Corporation about the possibilities of them filming a full-length feature film on the island.
