Podcasts
are now available on Go-Jamaica, at http://go-jamaica.com/podcasts,
and you can subscribe free.
What are Podcasts
Podcasts can be viewed as either the content
or the method of delivery. A podcast is simply
an audio file that is delivered to a user who
has subscribed to a feed. The content of an individual
podcast is often referred to as or reflects an
episode just like a that of television or radio
series.
The process of delivering the audio file(podcast)
via an RSS(Real Simple Syndication) feed is called
podcasting. Once the you have subscribed to a
podcast(feed), a piece of software(aggregator)
will check the feed to see when new audio files
(episodes) are available and download them automatically
to your machine(PC). Once downloaded, you can
listen to the podcast at your convenience either,
on your PC, IPod or MP3 player.
