to subscribe
In last
week's newsletter, we told about the tools
needed to subscribe to your podcasts. This week
we share how to actually subscribe.
Here is a rough guide to how this might work.
In iTtunes, you can subscribe to some
podcasts through the iTunes Podcast Directory.
If you can't find the podcast that you want in
iTunes then you can follow the same method as
outlined below for Juice, Doppler
and other podcast software.
You will need copy the feed's address. The podcast
feed address is often shown on the page or you
will see a button like 
or  .
Getting the address is simple, and depends on
the browser you are using. In all cases you will
need to put your mouse pointer over the link/button.
In Internet Explorer, right-click, then
select 'copy shortcut', if you are using FireFox
right-click, then select 'copy link location'
and. In Opera, right-click, then select
'copy link address.
Paste* the "feed for the podcast" into
your podcast software. How you do this will depend
on your software, but you should look out for
buttons or links that say "Add" or "Subscribe".
One-Click
Some sites also offer 'one-click' subscription.
Go-Jamaica provides this for iTunes users only
at this time. Simply click on the link and the
podcasting aggregator will automatically fire
up and grab the feed. If you have iTunes, try
it out by clicking on the icon .
