Tech Tip: Using our RSS feeds with Gmail

rssRSS (Really Simple Syndication) is a 'feed' format for sharing and distributing Web content, such as news headlines. Using an RSS reader, you can view data feeds from various news sources including Gleaner sites.

GMAIL

Gmail uses webclips. Web Clips show you news headlines, Gmail tips, blogs, any RSS and Atom feed, relevant sponsored links, and more -- right at the top of your inbox and messages. Receive updates from your favorite sites without having to leave Gmail!

To add Gleaner Online headlines to your Web Clips:

1. Log in to your Gmail account.
2. Click Settings at the top of any Gmail page.
3. Open the Web Clips tab.
4. Enter the Gleaner Online feed URL (http://www.jamaica-gleaner.com/feed/rss.xml) under Search by topic or URL.
5. Click Search.
6. Once Gmail locates the feed, click Add so you can view it in Web Clips!
